The Local Rules/Liaison Committee will be comprised of judges, law clerks, and attorneys who regularly meet to discuss issues about court procedures and to propose any changes to the Local Rules and model forms. Any attorney who wishes to discuss procedural issues with the judges and to propose any changes to the Local Rules and model forms is urged to join. Participation in the Committee will give participants an opportunity to voice any concerns about court procedures, Local Rules and model forms directly with judges.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The bankruptcy court for the Eastern District will hold a meeting of the chapter 13 subcommittee of the local rules-liaison committee on January 26, 2026, at noon in the Clerk’s Office conference room. The principal purpose of this meeting is to discuss (1) amendments to the district’s model chapter 13 plan form that have been proposed by the trustees and (2) a new form that the court is considering approving for chapter 13 debtors making certain pre-confirmation plan modifications (which would modify the plan without having to reproduce plan language in the modification, as otherwise required by new Local Rule 3015-1). Working drafts of these documents are attached to this email. There are two versions of the proposed modification form: one incorporates existing plan language, the other adopts language that is being proposed in the amended model plan form.
