SAVE THE DATE; June 2, 2022; Local Rules Committee

Tuesday, May 24, 2022

ATTENTION: All bankruptcy attorneys who practice in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

As Judge Halfenger noted at the Kohler Retreat this spring, the Bankruptcy Court is reconvening a committee on local rules for the Bankruptcy Court.

What? As in the past, the Local Rules Committee will be comprised of judges, law clerks, and attorneys who will regularly meet to discuss changes to the Local Rules.

Who? Any attorney who wishes to discuss procedural issues with the judges and to propose any changes to the Local Rules is encouraged to join.

Why? Participation in the Committee will give participants an opportunity to voice any concerns about the Local Rules directly with judges.

When and where? The Committee will take place on June 2, at 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Room 190 of the United States Courthouse in Milwaukee and live via Zoom.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to participate in the Committee, or if you have suggestions for changes to the Local Rules or model forms that you would like discussed at the June 2 meeting, please email Michael Keepman at Michael_J_Keepman@wieb.uscourts.gov.

We hope to see you there!
