NOTICE:

PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE LOCAL RULES OF THE BANKRUPTCY COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF WISCONSIN,

OCTOBER 1, 2025 DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN COMMENTS, AND OCTOBER 8, 2025 PUBLIC HEARING

The judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin with the assistance of the court’s local rules and liaison committee propose revisions to the court’s local rules. The revisions embody suggestions from trustees and practitioners and incorporate changes in common court procedures since the last revisions in 2017. The proposed revised rules are available on the court’s website. All counsel practicing before the court and other interested persons are encouraged to review the proposed revised rules and submit comments on them to Clerk of Court, Sean McDermott, at sean_d_mcdermott@wieb.uscourts.gov by no later than October 1, 2025.

The court will hold a public hearing on the proposed local rule revisions on October 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the U.S. Federal Courthouse-Milwaukee, 517 East Wisconsin Avenue, Room 133, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Any member of the public who wishes to be heard on the proposed revised local rules is invited to participate in this public hearing.
