The Treasury has notified the court that it will be testing its Pay.gov contingency site on Saturday, March 3, 2012, between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM.  Pay.gov will be able to process transactions normally after this planned outage. If you experience any problems with Pay.gov after the planned outages, please contact the court at 414.301.1766.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin has added CM/ECF Release 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 to the live database.  For more information, please click here.

It is very important that a bankruptcy case be filed and handled correctly. The rules are very technical, and a misstep may affect a debtor's rights. For example, a debtor whose case is dismissed for failure to file a required document, such as a credit counseling certificate, may lose the right to file another case or lose protections in a later case, including the benefit of the automatic stay.
